Adaptive Resolution Upconversion for Compressed Video Using Pixel Classification
A novel adaptive resolution upconversion algorithm that is robust to compression artifacts is proposed. This method is based on classification of local image patterns using both structure information and activity measure to explicitly distinguish pixels into content or coding artifacts. The structure information is represented by adaptive dynamic-range coding and the activity measure is the com...
متن کاملResolution enhancement of compressed low resolution video
In this work we propose an iterative algorithm for the estimation of high resolution frames from a low resolution compressed video sequence. The algorithm exploits the existing correlation between the high and low resolution frames and the information provided by the encoder to obtain a high resolution frame. The performance of the algorithm is demostrated experimentally.
متن کاملSuper-resolution from compressed video
The problem of recovering a high-resolution frame from a sequence of low-resolution and compressed images is considered. The presence of the compression system complicates the recovery problem, as the operation reduces the amount of frequency aliasing in the low-resolution frames and introduces a non-linear noise process. Increasing the resolution of the decoded frames can still be addressed in...
متن کاملContext-based adaptive image resolution upconversion
bstract. We propose a practical context-based adaptive image esolution upconversion algorithm. The basic idea is to use a lowesolution (LR) image patch as a context in which the missing highesolution (HR) pixels are estimated. The context is quantized into lasses and for each class an adaptive linear filter is designed using training set. The training set incorporates the prior knowledge of he ...
متن کاملAdaptive Distributed Compressed Video Sensing
Compressed sensing is a state-of-the-art technology which can significantly reduce the number of sampled data in sparse signal acquisition. This paper studies the distributed compressed sensing (DISCOS) of video signals. To this end, we propose adaptive adjustments to the block-based (local) measurement rate, the frame-based (global) measurement rate, and the sparse dictionary size, thus formin...
